Engadin St. Moritz region

St. Moritz – the name stands for style, glamour and class. Despite its glamorous aura, St. Moritz has retained its original character. Very few other regions or hotels offer as many sports and leisure opportunities right on your doorstep in winter and in summer.

Winter activities

You can sledge on the hotel’s very own slope. Winter hikes and cross-country skiing start below Hotel Chesa Spuondas. The Suvretta Snowsports ski school and the large Corviglia ski area with its huge snow park are located less than a ten-minute walk above the hotel.

Ice skating, curling, snowkiting, a taxi ride on the Olympic bob run (the fastest and only natural ice track in the world) or a visit to the CrestaRun in St. Moritz add to the winter sports on offer. Off-piste events include polo on ice, horse racing on the frozen St. Moritz lake, the St. Moritz Gourmet and Music Festival and the Engadin Ski Marathon.

You can relax in the nearby indoor swimming pool/ OVAVERVA spa with a view of the Engadin mountains or in the wellness area in Hotel Europa. There are child-friendly indoor pools in Pontresina or Sils-Maria (saltwater pool).

Summer activities

Nature does not care about prestige. It is what it is: wonderfully diverse, sweetly romantic, irrepressibly wild and authentic. In addition to its beautiful lakeside location, St. Moritz offers an attractive mix of nature, culture, sport, hustle and bustle, and tranquillity.

The intense St. Moritz sun together with the Upper Engadin lake scenery and valley culture provide the backdrop for a range of attractions that is unparalleled in terms of quality and variety: mountain biking, inline skating, hiking, windsurfing, kite surfing, sailing, golf, tennis, opera, art and culture – all within a few minutes’ travel.
